What is Dynamic Text?

Dynamic text is text whose value is supplied at processing or delivery time and rendered into the generated media, rather than being baked into the source design template’s pixels in advance. Values can include names, timestamps, prices, captions, or localized wording.

How Dynamic Text works

A rendering pipeline substitutes data into positioned text layers before rasterization or vector export. Layout is governed by font metrics, shaping, line breaking, direction, and the bounds defined by the design template. This differs from an ordinary caption track because the words become part of the generated asset rather than a separately selectable stream. It belongs after data validation and localization, but before final sizing and delivery derivatives are produced.
